Deactivating a Device

Preconditions Before Deactivation

Before proceeding with device deactivation, ensure the following conditions are satisfied:

1) Premium Subscription Devices

If the device is under a Premium subscription:

  • The applied Escalation must be removed.
  • The applied Device Template must be removed.
  • Deactivation will not be allowed until both template and escalation are detached.

2) Standard Subscription Devices

If the device is under a Standard subscription:

  • The applied Device Template must be removed.
  • Deactivation will not be allowed until template is detached.

3) Devices Activated via Activation Code

If the device was activated using an Activation Code:

If a device is activated using an activation code with a defined expiry period, once the code is applied to the device, the device can only be deactivated when the remaining validity period is 30 days or less.

To Deactivate a Device

If you have a device that you are currently not using you can deactivate it. From the Device List view click the Vertical Ellipsis by the device you want to deactivate.

A confirmation dialog will appear:

  • Click Cancel to abort.
  • Click Confirm to proceed.

Enter Deactivation Code

After confirmation:

  • A second dialog titled Confirm Deactivation will appear.
  • The deactivation code required to complete this process will be sent to the registered email address. The user must enter the code received via email in the Deactivation Code field.
  • Click Submit to complete the process. The system will add device to the Inactive Devices list.
  • Click Cancel to stop the action.
