Defrost
The Defrost setting allows the user to suppress alarms during routine maintenance of the refrigerator. This feature is useful when defrosting or conducting other necessary maintenance tasks that might trigger an alarm.
IMPORTANT!
- During the Defrost process, the device will not log any data or report any alerts, such as door open or temperature out of range. Make sure the defrost delay is used only when necessary, as critical alerts will be temporarily paused.
- Make sure the device is connected to both Wi-Fi and Power during the process.
Field Insights
Defrost ON/OFF:
- User can use the ON and OFF buttons to toggle defrost mode.
- This allows users to control when the defrost cycle is active or inactive.
ON: Starts the defrost cycle.
OFF: Ends the defrost cycle, allowing the device to resume normal operation.
Defrost Time Interval:
- In the Defrost Time Interval field, user can input the number of minutes you want the defrost cycle to last.
- This ensures that the defrost cycle runs for the desired amount of time and helps prevent unnecessary alarms during maintenance. The defrost delay can be set between 1 minute and 720 minutes.
Last Report Date/Time (View Only):
- The Last Report Date/Time field shows when the device last reported data, which can be useful for tracking when defrosting operations were last updated.
NOTE
- After making the necessary changes, click Save to START OR STOP defrosting.
- Wait for 15 seconds to sync the updated settings to the device.
- After 15 seconds, the device will automatically start/stop the defrost mode.
- If a red error icon is displayed, ensure the device is connected to Wi-Fi and Power, and try updating the settings again.
